There was an increase of Local contribution from K. 8271295 in 2003 to K. 11830853 in 2004.

The subsidies for Bible sales and free distribution in 2003 was K. 9101218 and 9546088 in 2004.

The estimate of total costs of Bible printings in 2005 is US$ 2763375 and the UBS World Service Program regular support is US$ 56899.

It is essential to raise funds locally as well as abroad to meet the enomour needs of scriptures in Myanmar.

Printing of the Bible and New Testament according to the material production plan has to be done out side the country due to the present situation in Myanmar. Therefore not only the printing cost but also there is cost for transportation which causes the high cost of the scriptures printing aboard. However, presently there is no other alternatives to provide the scripture to the people of Myanmar.

Burmese language is an official and common language and Burmese Bible is used by all Christian in Myanmar. As already mentioned regarding the scripture needs in Myanmar, ther is a growing need of Myanmar Bible not only by the Christians but also the non-believers. Even the monks of other faiths are requesting the Bible and the free distribution has to be made for them especially. The Myanmar Bible is also urgently needed for the new converts, extented mission fields and evangelism of the churches and christian organizations in Myanmar.

We need at least 10,000 copies of Burmese Bible yearly to meet all the scripture needs mentioned above and presently we have less than 100 copies left. Therefore there is an urgent need of the Burmese Bible. The cost of standardized Bible is US$6 and small size Burmese Bible. Which is very much appreciated by young people and evangelists, is US$5 including transportation.

Christmas selections, Easter selections and tracts especially designed for non-believers, the outreach program of the churches and Christian organisations in Myanmar are always in great demand for evangelistic activities. Particularly, during the Christmas season, there are unlimited opportunities to organize crusades and sharing of the Gospel more freely and extensively and the selections and tracts producted officially by the Bible Society of Myanmar are used without restriction and effectively. The contribution of US$1 will cover the cost of production of 10 copies of these selections and tracts.
