The Pre Bible Day song competition was held at Phu Tha Phyu Hall, Insein, Yangon Yesterday (August 9, 2008) and Christian young people from 16 churches and Institutions heartedly participated. The hall was fully crowed with more than 3000 witnesses. The theme song "The Word of God: Hope for success" was well sung and acted by the participants creatively.  According to the judges, prizes go to the following groups:

 

First ... ... ... Kachin Baptist Church - Yangon Youth

Second ... ... Tedim Baptist Church - Yangon Youth

Third ... ... ... Myanma Institute of Christian Theology

 

It is also reported that, there will be Bible Day Theme song Competition in Henzada, Taungu, Taunggyi, Mandalay and Bangkok on August 16, 2008.

 

Pulpit exchanged program is arranged in Yangon and some other towns. Pastors and leaders from different denominations will preach at other different churches next (Sabbath) Sunday. Bible Day is annually observed by member churches across the country and Christians prayed and collect their donations toward the advancement of Bible Ministry in Myanmar.

Sumtu people in Rakhine State are without any written Script. The Bible Society is helping them to have writing system, eventually, translate the Wird of God in their heart langauge.
